Production Blog: Filming Day Two

I showed up to Dania Pointe for the second day ready to shoot. When I got their I had to wait a couple of minutes for the rest of my group to show up. After around 15 minutes Ayannah showed up. It seemed like no one else was coming so I decided to film the rest of Ayannah's scenes. I had her go over to the movie theater. I wanted to try and film a scene with her siting in the theater. I went up to the staff of the theater but they told us that we would not be allowed to film inside of an empty movie theater. So, I instead went over to the small arcade inside the movie theater. In there I directed Ayannah on what to do and filmed her playing different games. The first game I had her play was the claw machine. I had her intentionally not win a prize as the mood is supposed to be somber for her scenes. After the claw machine we went over and filmed her playing the basketball game alone. I tried angling her phone so that you could visibly see the song playing on it but it didn't work well. Finally, in the arcade, I had her pretend to play one of the shooter games. I'll likely only use one or two shots in the final product but I wanted to have a good variety to pick from. Once we left the arcade I wanted to film Ayannah sitting at a table eating alone. Nearby there was a burger place so we went there, ordered food, and sat down. I chose a table near the corner of the restaurant to give a feeling of isolation. I filmed a few different angles of her eating before moving on to the last shot of the day. On the last show I wanted to film Ayannah walking home. I first did a tracking shot of Ayannah walking along the road. I then had her film a POV shot of her looking down at her feet while she was walking. For the last shot I walked in front of her and had her follow the camera from behind. With all of the scenes done we both decided to head home so that the editing stage could begin for the music video.
