Production Blog: First Day of Editing

To start with editing I had to decide on which editing program to use. I researched for about 15 minutes before going back to CapCut. I thought CapCut would be easiest as I can edit it on my computer and on my phone. CapCut is also very simple to use. For the next step I needed to get the audio downloaded. On the opening scene I wanted light background noise. I went through Youtube for a bit and landed on sounds of birds chirping. Now, I needed to get the song on my computer. I used a Youtube to MP3 converter online and got MP3 files of the birds chirping and the song. I then had to wait a while for the songs to convert. Once they finished converting I uploaded it into CapCut. Then I went through all of the videos I got and my group members got. I looked through each of the videos to decide which ones to include. This process took around 30 minutes as we got a lot of footage when filming. Finally, I decided on 2 videos per activity to get multiple shots of each. I ended up getting rid of the group aspect of the video as the videos didn't line up well and wouldn't make sense in the final product. Once I picked out the videos I had downloaded them to my phone. With them on my phone I emailed it to myself so I could put it onto my computer. Finally, I downloaded it and uploaded it into CapCut. With everything ready I decided to put the project fully together another day.
