Production Blog: Beginning to Film

 To begin the full group filming process everyone met up at Dania Pointe as planned. I coordinated schedules and times to accommodate everyone. Over the weekend on Saturday we all showed up at 11:00am. For today I decided to work on the second scene. The second scene consists of a split screen of the varying perspective of one side eating alone and one side eating with friends. So to set up I first had to find 2 separate areas of Dania Pointe to film. I walked around for about an hour scouting out filming locations. The first place I saw was a long strip of fake grass with a lot of tables around. I thought it would be a good place because it had a nice environment and background. The next area I found was shadowed and isolated. I thought that it would be a good idea to have our solo actor film there. Production Blog: Finding Music

Before editing the project together I decided I wanted to get one more piece of media to show who I am. This final piece of media would be music. My music taste is very diverse. I like rap, pop, electronic, but mostly indie music. Since my music taste is as diverse as it is I wanted to try and stick to one genre so that the general mood of the commercial is the same throughout. So, I first went to Spotify to search for specific albums I like. The first album I looked at was “Is This It” by The Strokes. Is This It is one of my favorite albums so this was a very obvious place to get a song from. After listening to the full album I narrowed the choices down to “The Modern Age” “Soma” and “Hard To Explain”. I’ll decide which one to use when I start editing the project so I can see which song fits the best with the video. Next, I went through one of my favorite artist’s discography for my next few songs. Production Blog: Finding Pictures

To start this project I needed to think about everything I had written down in my last blog post. I had to decide to first work on music, pictures, video, or figuring out how to edit. I wanted to start this project in the simplest way so I decided to find pictures to compile together. These pictures need to show a bit about me and who I am so I need to be very decisive in my choices. The first thing I decided to do was scroll through my camera roll. This was the obvious choice as that is where I have the most pictures of myself. For this project I am going to start from when I was younger and have the media be on a chronological timeline. Given this fact I scrolled all the way to the bottom of my camera roll. I haven't had an iphone for long so this only took me back to 2019. After seeing that my oldest pictures I chose to look somewhere else for pictures.
