Group Blog: Music Video

For this group I decided to work with the people I have sat with all year and worked with before on other project. The people in my group are Stanley, Ayannah, and Nathaly. The biggest reason I picked these three people to work with is because I know I work well with all of them. Each of them do have their own traits that make them better to work with. Ayannah is a good artist and will be useful for the storyboard. Nathaly is creative and can help with coming up with the idea for the music video. Finally, Stanley is a good writer and can help with writing all of the shared blogs. Once we established our group we had to decide a song for our music video to be about. Nathaly showed everyone a pop song. While the song was okay we decided it didn't match well for this project. Then, Stanley gave a rap song. It was also a struggle to find a topic for the video to be about with that song. Finally, I showed the group a rock song. It is called "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand. When I showed the song to everyone ideas came to mind about what to start writing about. The song has a good opening portion of it that would be easy to write a story around. On top of this the length of the introduction for the song lasts a minute and twenty seconds. Seeing as the project requires the length to be between a minute and ten seconds to a minute and fifteen seconds, the length worked perfectly. With the song in mind our group brainstormed ideas for what to write about and came up with one that worked well with the song. Now that we had a general idea for what the video would be we decided to song was perfect.
